It's on the right side, the picture is backwards.

Well I got my shelf glued on. Used Osage. Just gotta shape the grip a bit and she'll be ready for finish. Sitting about 1" wide and 1 3/4" deep. Gonna put in a locater and slight swell but feels pretty good just a bit wide in the heel.
