2019 Bow Swap Thread

I use titebond 3. When I built a takedown bow, it had a fibreglass I beam, so I used smooth on for that one.

Yup Tim's been to my shop quite a few times.

Had a visitor yesterday,  Dave Canopyboy stopped for a few hours.

He drew my pink bow from gooberson and drew my swap bow I built.

He wanted to keep the pink bow but I said no, its special...

Stopped by Roy's yesterday afternoon. I think he half expected me to show up with a bow...

Now that swap bow he already has is amazing. Goob actually put a lot of work into a bow with good tiller and alignment. Once the duct tape skins and rabbit hair grip are stripped down, it would actually make an awesome kids' bow.

I did see his recipient's bow though and figured out what's taking him so dang long to ship. I wouldn't want to part with it before I had to either. Someone will be very happy me thinks!

If I'm counting correctly, only 9 days left!

lol...yep I always enjoy going over to Roys....hes got a nice place. only problem is, its cursed. every bow I've worked on over there ends up trashed. The last one exploded on his tree.

the limbs look deceiving in the pics....they are 1 3/8" at the butts and 5/8" at the tips. Got to get a couple strings twisted up and i'll get some braced pics up here.

Don't worry, the only Junk of mine you guy's are ever going to see is the stuff strewn about my shop.
Enough of that, making progress. Looking like a Bow, finally! It's tillered and mostly shaped. Call me sick and twisted, but I enjoy all the sanding and shaping. I do wish I had a downdraft table for the micro glass dust.
