Nice tiller there, Steve.

Looking good guys!

Flem, you're scaring me gluing up in the 11th hour. Looking forward to following along with the fast build.

As for me, I promised my wife (under extreme duress) a Murphy bed by the same deadline. So I've been juggling that. Bow shoots well, but needs final sanding and finish.

Fast?
Thats funny! Although I did get to this point in a hurry.

Heading out to get some work done on mine here in a few. Got home a few hours ahead of schedule but woke up to pouring rain so no reason to stick around camp.

Ben that stain and breaking the edges like that gives it a classy look.

Flem I'm excited to see how that turns out.

Gonna ship my swapbow out this week.

Shot it some today, fast, smooth, accurate, and quiet, but a tad heavy for my old arse......

Who wants it?

I don't like the guy I gotta send it too:)

I've been working on my bow today trying to even out the tiller. When I glued it up, I failed to notice that one limb is 1/16" thicker coming out of the fade. This is causing me to have a real hard time getting it to bend evenly.
I've been scraping and sanding the edges and it's making a little bit of a difference, but I'm afraid one limb may end up a little narrower than the other.
Other than that, it feels like it will be a snappy shooter.

Clem, no one asked you for an opinion.

Flem

Roy, you never need to ask for my opinion, I will always offer it up freely :goldtooth:

OK, it's in the bag.

I glued tip overlays on my bow today, and while I was waiting for the glue to set up, I picked up a bow that had been resting in a corner for the last year because of one limb that was twisted to one side. Must be a good day today cause I got it straight! 😁
So now I have another bow that I can send out if something happens to the one I'm building.

Here are my two bows. They still need some tweaking and the one on the right needs to lose some weight.
[attachment=1]
The left one has a maple core and a white oak and walnut riser with a jatoba I beam and osage power lam.
The right one has a yew core and the riser is made from zebrano and padauk with maple and wedge accents.
Both have bamboo backs and bellies. The back of the R.D. Bow is carbonized.
So, if you were my victim, which bow would you choose?  :goldtooth:
