Went to a local bow shoot today, got to shoot the new walnut burl veneer limbs and zebrawood riser/black limb longbow I finished last week, both in the middle  of picture.

Took a 7 mile hike around some new area on land that I hunt. Found some awesome hunting ground and places to keep an eye on during the upcoming year.

Found a nice shed too....

Got started on the a lam grinder.  Was planning on going to HD this morning for materials but I went for a stroll last night and discovered a neighbor was tossing out some material perfectly suited to the project.  A courtesy knock confirmed that I was welcome to take it away!

Went to the arrow shaft warehouse and got me some arras.

after work I fixed some scratches on a friends bow..then I spray finished a longbow, its a hand rubbed extra glossy finish, so I slowed my gun stroke  and..got two runs to sand out tomorrow morning..ya I hate glossy finish.

Kinda spooky how Roy knew exactly what to recommend for your nails...lol

I got my tip overlays on and shaped and my overlay on my riser done  (bow swap bow)  hopefully get a string on it tommorow and check poundage

I look forward to Roy's full recovery.  He needs to be kept busy.  Maybe we should caucus and select a delegation to appeal to his wife to reign him in.  

Worked a little bit today on my Eastern Woodland style selfbow, put the short string on it and put it so it was braced tight against the bow and am tillering it further, one limb is stiffer than the  other with the other limb at perfect tiller within itself (so far).

Gonna get the other limb bending perfectly at this shorter brace, then brace it up further. Right now she's 50# @ 17" on the low brace. And tiller is looking good. Can't wait to get 'er finished up!
