Went for a walk today on the land I hunt. It's my mission this year to find some sheds from the deer I pursue. Well I was pumped to not only find one shed but find two of them.

Can't wait to get back out and find some fresh drops from this year!

Today I got a box in the mail.  It was 6 rattle snake skins I bought off of the big auction site.  They were dried and rolled up.  The seller was afraid to unroll them.  He thought they needed soaked in tanning solution.  I had no idea what they looked like but for only $22 I figured it was worth the risk.  I think I did OK on the deal.  I soaked them in water for a while and then tacked them down to dry flat.

Finished up a set of ILF limbs I started last weekend. Dark Brown Walnut Burl veneers, Red Elm taper all under clear glass, red and black tips.    43# on a 17" Morrison Phoenix2 riser. Strung it up, 1/16" positive tiller, It pulls straight..no problems. Taking it to a 3D shoot tomorrow..so the first shots will be on the range..I'll get some pictures tomorrow. Wet sanded a longbow this morning when it was 40 degrees out..shaped a set of Black Glass limbs I'm building for a DAS riser, got the overlays on and called it a day. I cooked polish sausage and Swiss Chard for supper, Helen did the dishes...

Robert, you got a lot done!

Looking forward to some pics of the bow.

I've been in Florida when the temperature is 40 and the humidity is 95.  Downright bone chilling!

Made a diabolical deer killing plan for the lease. Picked a great pinoak tree and gonna pull some saplings with my skidder/tree puller in 3 lanes from it, then plant white clover in lanes.

My lease hunters may thank me or curse me....   :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Scrub, you absolutely STOLE those skins! Well done.

I've been out in the shop all day, cleaning, and then shaping a test bow. I put it on the tillering tree and gave it a few preliminary tugs and took some notes.
