Tapers are ground, veneers are ground, riser glued and pads cut. I may have to take a break.

Don't you hate it when your cores have some nice character to them?

I got something done this afternoon. It was nice and warm today so I started working on a pair of sister risers. This will give me a plan A and a plan B if I need it.

That's just plain old maple. I kind of hated to use them as cores but it's what I have. I would love to use boo for cores but frankly I can't afford the shipping to get it to my house.

Stole my kids art supplies. It's about to get serious.

As drawn should be 68" tip to tip. Gonna attempt to glue in some backset and hope she comes out flat after shoot in. Will be glueing on a shelf but could be an ambidextrous design as shown.

Ummmm, I think I'll use some maple and walnut and cherry and maybe a slice of osage or hickory.

Not sure what MDO is but that is butcher paper. Bought a 500' roll 10+ years ago. Have used for many projects and it worked great for this.

That's a classic design and surely would be a good candidate for an ambi. Just stay away from the pink!
