I got my wedges and tip wedges done today. Of course I had suffer the anguish over how to make the jigs and then sweat through making them, hoping I don't mis-cut, mis-grind or just screw up any of it, BUT the good Lord must be pleased with me, I seem to be getting along well with my tools lately.

Question for all you'ns who might be in the know.... I will be building my bow from Bear Paw .050 this round but I have not used it. I have a base line for the .040 so I am wondering, how much more weight can I expect from the .050 over .040 for a given stack?

Crooked Stic

Two .050 += .020 So take .020 out of your core. I am thinking with gordons it was about an even glass for core. On the BP. have not tried it.

Thanks Mike. I thought I had read that glass gives more draw weight than the cores but sometimes I mix things up in my head. Not to worry though, it keeps life interesting.

Dang....... you all have been busy. All I've managed to do is a little digging through my wood stash. I did manage to find a yew stave I had forgotten about. Need to study it a bit more. Im thinking it may need a boo back. Will probably dig out some osage also.

Got this far with no major issues, glue lines all look nice and everything stayed square.

I've finally decided what to build.  Now I just gotta decide what to build it out of :dunno:

Just got the email from Kenny that my order will ship tomorrow. Hoping to get my osage lams cut Thursday and get all my splices glued up over the weekend. But as with all my projects time frame may change. Don't wanna get way behind incase I need to invoke a plan B.

Looks like we have some serious over achievers moving out. Looks like I'll be in the second wave at best. Still trying to decide what I want to even make. This is a heavy decision. Can't rush it.
