Baby steps Bob, baby steps.... :readit:

Still no complaints. In fact I wish to highlight the quality products that KennyM provides, outstanding, thank you Kenny.

I did notice that my scarf joint on the bamboo could use a lot of work but I had to really search to see where I joined the backing veneers, and I knew where it is.

I had to measure everything to figure it out (I couldn't remember). Per your plans it should be 50-55 but I tend to end up narrower than the prescribed 1.5". I am hoping to end in the 50-ish arena.

I ended up on mine at 1 3/8 in. Wide Lonnie it didnt seem to effect draw weight on mine from what Kenny guessed more then a pound or two Im guessing might have even made the bow a little faster your looks really nice cant wait to see it strung and finish on !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

The work week is done, two ladies almost fully moved, the wife is off to work and finally some quality time in the shop. I have the basic limb profile done and so far it seems to be tracking pretty true to center. I did however find a crack in the glass that concerns me and I would greatly appreciate the opinions that make this place great.

Am I defeated before I really get rolling?

Lonnie, those look just like the ones that I had in TG swap bow #1.

Not sure I have a picture of it on the phone.

Those look pretty much the same, in the pic mine looks like a scuff but in the right light you can definitely see it's a crack. I noticed a couple of others before I profiled it but they were on the edge and got sanded off.

Is the bow still usable like this or is it destined for spontaneous disassembly?

Dang! Can you catch a fingernail on it? Wondering if its a glass flaw or a crack...

It wouldn't happen to line up with the washers on sides of form? I had them too tight once and the glass couldn't lay down. Didn't crack it but made a fat spot in the limb at 2 of them.

If its a crack you can catch a nail on, I would try to get some glue in it, won't be easy. What part of limb? Bending or not ?

I can't catch a nail it and it's right at 5" off the fade on the bendy part. Not sure about the washer part but it's a good posibility. I will keep an eye on it see what happens. Other than that it's bending nicely on the tree and in the area of 48ish at 24-25". I may have to take it down some, I ain't as good as I once was.

If you narrow it up more, any chance it would be close enuff to the edge to trap it out? Trapping usually loses 3-4 lb for me. Might end up light....

I've been shooting mine and so far no problems.  I look at it occasionally for changes in appearance.  So far no change.

What kind of glass did you use?  What kind of form?

Mine was a rubber band form with new thinner pressure lams.  They had the rope Down the center but maybe were too thin along the edges allowing a roll over effect?
