Osage belly, Red Elm core lams, Madake bamboo backing, 13" purple heart riser, buffalo and purple heart tip overlays.. 62 tip to tip, came in @ 57 # at 28". Tillered for split finger and limb timed. Making it for a good friend who does a lot for kids and getting them interested in archery.

Really clean sweet 1/4 sawn, 5 year old Osage belly lams.

Well seasoned at 6% moisture.

Z spliced below.

Right after being cut out and ready for string grooves.

First time on tree.

At 6 " brace height.

Pulled to 29" on the tree. I always pull a bow 1" past the intended shooters draw length, just makes me feel better..

Looks good,  nice choice for the 1/4 sawn Osage.

Looking good, Roy.  Can't wait to get it.  I'll show it to the kids as soon as they're done with the yard work and washing and waxing my truck.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Nice. Your bows are getting shorter and shorter it seems. I guess you're just working towards a really short one for me.

Roy from Pa

This guy wanted 55 # or better. Seems when I make bows 64 to 66 inches long, I have a difficult time getting higher weight. Naturally due to the longer bow. I should start adding a little more width for longer bows needing higher weight.

Ya that's what I thought too. I've made better, little rusty I guess.
