Well, get to work Kenny!  It looks great

..its probably less complicated than I am thinking but I thought quite a bit about how to get laminations like that without cutting a blank of wood, corner to corner and sideways.

Cant wait to see this baby.

kennym

I can't wait to get it done,it has an experimental lam in it. If it makes weight, its gonna be my huntin bow this year!

The lams aren't too bad,I just made a sorta sled to hold the rear end of the blank 5/8" out from the fence. Then set my saw on 2 degrees and ran it thru. Then you have to square up the blank from that face.

I had thought about it a while also, then got an order for some charcoal lams like this for a fellow to put on his Widow. So I did mine in Nutmeg Brown, the riser also. Shoulda put a charcoal saddle in the riser tho!!

Dang Kenny, you should have waited till Thursday or Friday. Five days is a long time. What are you trying, foam cores or a new carbon composite?

eman614

that was dirty. like jason said 5 days is a long time to wait. something tells me it'll be worth it though.

I used to think you were a nice guy. Obviously everyone who ever said anything nice about you was sadly mistaken.  :smileystooges:

Aww come on guys,I'm just funnin ya!! It is a new experimental form,58-60" d/r(can't get away from d/r)

The lam has a builtin powerlam and tip wedge,it is much easier than holdin all the small pieces during glueup!

Really there isn't much to see besides what I showed ya already!  :D

They are some nice looking lams Kenny ! I would like to see some pics of those charcoal lams .

NO matter where you go there you  are !

Helen has a couple of longbows with  reverse tapers?, it looks like they were ground on a sled with a offset hump. It does look like the built in powerlams and tip wedges would be easier than fighting with multiple wedges. Good luck with the build, the crossgrain actionwood veneers look great.

Landshark160

Here's a pic of the veneers Kenny just cut for me.  I think they look sharp!  I'll post up some finished pics after I get the finish sprayed on them.
