I noted that Swinehart had an elephant tail hair bracelet, not that the one shown was his.  Looking at the photo you provided and photos of Swinehart's bracelet, I couldn't see any difference.  I figured the answer you was wanting was Bear, but decided to mention there was another historical archery person with a very similar bracelet.

tuscarawasbowman

Wally Johnson. Freds Professional hunter in Africa when he took his elephant, lion and buff.

I must have missed the other 1956 Goat. My final answer was Barren Ground Caribou, but now I am changing it to Rocky Mountain Goat given the information you presented.

Your revised or second Final Answer is Correct, Rocky Mountain Goat. Shall I give you the full one point for your answer?      :)    Just joking of course. I'm just pleased that someone cares about it and is still awake.

It took some research to come up with this unpublished fact...

In one of many conversations with Dick Lattimer  after his books were published, I mentioned this apparently unknown fact to him, and he was dumbfounded that he had completely missed it and have never known about it.

Missaukee

Thanks for this quiz Wade! Lot of fun. I only wish I had internet at my house, and the time to look for all the answers. I am very disappointed in the Rocky Mountain Goat mistake. I only glanced at it twice and darned if I missed the other 1956 entry, I should have known better than to answer Barren Ground Caribou when you said the animals were killed in the same year. Keep the questions coming.

Missaukee

The worst thing, is that all the questions have answers that I have heard or read or seen, but to locate them I have to look back through all the books, magazines, videos, etc. Lots of fun!
