Great looking set up Garrett!! Very cool for the traveling hunter I'm sure

This year i will be shooting my 56" Stalker Coyote 47#@ 28". 600 spine Easton Axis trad shafts with 50 gr. hidden inserts and VPA 175gr. 2 blade broadheads. Total arrow weight is 470 grs. My Holm Made Osprey longbow will be my backup bow. 60" and 42#@28". Opening day is September 17 here in Wisconsin. Only 2 months away.

I actually had Bob build me this take town 2-piece bow specifically so that I could build this travel kit.  It allows me to pile luggage all over it in the car without worry, boat into places with waterproof and floating security, and check it +/- a handgun under the arrows for flying and it gives me something that when I am packing for a hunt it is impossible for me to miss needed gear.  The bow is built to the exact same specs as my beloved one piece so the two bows can share some perfectly tuned arrows but this one is easier to travel with.  Oh and this bow wears the antler as limb tips from the most mature buck that I've ever taken with a bow, and it was shot with my one piece bow from 7 paces off the ground.

I chose this particular case because it was the smallest option available that would fit everything I needed with my full length arrows still in the quiver hood.  With one grab and go option I can instantly spot for missing items and load up everything needed for any hunt:

• bow
• quiver with 4 arrows
• 12 spare arrows with different heads for other species on multi-species hunts
• two spare strings
• bow square
• binoculars
• knife
• game calls under arm guard
• two shooting gloves under arm guard
• arm guard
• .44 Mag if needed as a backup/sidearm if going into a place with some dangerous game

That looks great Garrett!  I have the same case and really like it.  Do you have any tips for tracing/cutting the foam?  I used a box cutter and it didn't turn out nearly as nice as what yours looks like.

I rolled out some butcher paper that I freeze my meat in and cut it to the interior dimensions desired.  From there I laid out everything so it fit well and carefully traced it so my lines were vertical or maybe slightly undersized.  I used scissors to cut out the shapes on the paper piercing the paper from the center of the cutout and then cutting out to the line.  I tacked the paper onto the foam with my wife's sewing pins and used a silver sharpie marker to trace the inside of the cutouts like a stencil onto the foam.  Then I cut out the foam with my jigsaw and a smooth blade but you can also use a filet knife or the likes too.  When I got ready to put the foam back in I flipped it upside down so that the leftover silver sharpie didn't show.  Items like my bow that had tapers got the plugs cut to lift them up to the surface level.  Deep items like the limb mounts on my quiver got cut into the middle layer of foam the same way but with a less precise tracing and fitment.  As for the arrow rack, I just used the cutouts from the arrow quiver section to stuff into the lid and replace that corrugated junk.  I used a carpenters level as a straight edge and a razor blade clicked out to about half the depth to get partial thickness cuts in a straight line. 

I had planned to order another solid piece of foam for the lid to make the arrow holders from but the quiver cutouts work so I'll just stick with them until they wear out.  They aren't cut squared but it really doesn't matter.  I just need it to work properly and for now it does.

I'll be shooting a 64 in 47@28 Black canyon longbow. A Gold tip 400 31 in long with a 125 gr Wensel woodsman. Total weight 425 gr.

This year will be a Hoyt Satori, 17" riser, 55#medium limbs. Shooting 340 traditional only barebow shafts, 3 4" parabolic fletch, and either a 4 blade Eskimo or Delta up front. After years of bouncing back and forth between longbows, recurves and compounds I have a renewed confidence in this set up and can't wait to try it on elk and whitetail!!!!!

I am planning on my 58" 45# Kodiak Hunter for this fall. Using Gold Tip 600 spine with probably the Wensel 3 blades, maybe the Bear Razorheads. I had hoped to be shooting my 45# 68" Maddog string follow longbow but I still have some issues with it so the recurve it is. The old Kodiak is getting a few checks in the limbs but still shooting pretty good. Some day I may get lucky and get a longer 45# Kodiak Hunter but this one has been a good bow.

I'll be shooting my EXE Scream 21" riser with 40lb Medium Uukha Gobi limbs, Springy rest, Gunshy Quiver with 32" 4 fletched 4" feathers on a GT Hunter 400 shaft, 100 grain insert and 125 grain Muzzy Original 3 Blade or Magnus Killer Bees. TAW 516grains at 168fps.

Main hunters will be my Kanatis.  All roughly 50# with Beman Centershots and Ace heads.

That ol'59 is my favorite and what I will start the season with.  My uncle gave me the polar and K-mag.  That little K-mag is my second fav. I killed deer with each of those 5 bows last season.....we will see what this season holds....I'm sure looking forward to it!

I'm leaving tomorrow for an elk hunt. I will be taking my 58 pound @27" PSAX Black Widow recurve along with my 2117's and two blade Stinger broadheads.

When I get back; I will drop the weight down to 52 pounds and use 2018's along with my choice of Stingers or Zwickey two blade Eskimo's...as my needs require.

I've been messing around with my arrow setup and landed with:

2018 Camo Hunter
175 grain Tigershark
50 grain brass behind the RPS
3 Fletch LW
Lumenok
647 TAW
Hits like a tomahawk missile. Can't wait to let it loose.

I'm going with one bow, a late 40's ish Ben Pearsons 502, bottom of the barrel at the time. I'll be shooting some 29" 45# d.fir shafts with bear greenies at front.
I wanted to go with the Ace standards I got but I just couldn't get them to spin rite, I need to figure out why.
