Al this one is suppose to be an upgrade for my stove. Thought I was gonna need a fan to $200 more. Had that been the case I would have looked into another stove.

So Flem how much total .....????

Thats about the gist of it. One of those capacitors or switches or transformers or rheostats on that circuit board is cooked.
Find the specs and test them. PITA, but thats what you do, if you are cheap like me ;)

That's exactly why I wouldn't let myself buy one of those.  Not much can go wrong with a good old wood stove.  If it has a blower and it goes bad, a fan behind it will work in a pinch.

I agree with the wood stove. But then you have to have a wood source and your insurance goes up. By the time I bought a chain saw spent time cutting wood and hauling it and money saved on insurance the $400 board might not look so bad.  :bigsmyl:

What about the cost of the pellets?  I've never bought them or priced them but they must be a factor.

On 25-30 degree days about six hours each day a $ 4.99 bag will last me 2 days. My shop has the 16 foot garage door. Walls are well insulated but no ceiling. the soffit area is stuffed with insulation so no leaks there. It has 4 pellet feed rates on manual mode. They work like stoker furnace. Pretty amazing the amount of heat out of such small amount of fuel.

Yeah, $2.50 per day is pretty economical.

Roughed out then straightened up an osage stave. Had some deflex, prop twist and tip alignment issues which thankfully were all in separate areas so I was able to straighten it out somewhat fairly easily. Enough to get it bending and to brace height and then re-straighten if needed.

The white box behind the stave is an asthma nebuliser I've converted to a vacuum pump, so hopefully will see some sucking duties at some stage.

Went and had a look at another house, has plenty of land so I'd be able to set up a full 3D course if I could be bothered, have a lifetimes supply of firewood and possibly harvest some timber for staves/boards.
