Hmmmm, should I send this? The scrap wasn't big enough to suit me, so did the best I could with what I had.

I dunno, maybe I should just keep it, it does sound good.....

Oh, it's a grunt call!

Don't need one, I grunt with every step up the mountain. :)

I worked on the form a bit but stalled deciding between hose and rubber band method.  Settled on the riser shape and it's ready to stick on the riser block but after studying the block for over an hour couldn't decide how to cut it.  Finally decided to take a nap.

So there are now two bows on hold waiting for their recipients to finish up. There is one bow that should be in the mail any day. Things are moving. I have sent emails to a couple guys who haven't posted for awhile just to check in. If you haven't noted anything in the last couple weeks, you might post something up to let us know you're still alive.

I found some really cool wood in a scrap pile for a riser. Plan to get her glued up this weekend now that the test bow worked out so well. I'll try to post pics of the lams tomorrow. Yew belly and some dark wood I forget the name of at the moment on the back. You'll probably only be able to see the grain in the sun, but still cool.

That's a great combo Kenny! It's hard to find a grunt call made of wood now days, the plastic ones just don't sound real to me. I made a little something extra for my victim too since I got finished early, I'm keeping mine a secret though.

Very nice work Kenny and I am impressed how well that glued on belly piece lines up with the rest.

EvilDogBeast

Got all the overlays on and the tips roughed out.  Put five arrows through it last night, I have to say the thing shoots like a dream!  Taking it camping at the range tonight and will shoot it in during the weekly 3D shoot tomorrow.  I should have it finish sanded and coated by Tuesday, and shipped by Thursday.

Working on the riser.  The wood is Myrtle but it's not that dark.  Blade burn!  Didn't realize how far gone the blade is but once started I pushed on through.

So the blade is replaced now.

Roy, you could use it for a funnel, but not sure what kind of noise it would make running beer thru it....

Thanks Bue, I took some special pains getting the lines to align..
Stay sharp, Kenny.
