If it was me, I'd have reversed the images to mess with you. Just sayin'...

So I'm tracking one bow in the mail and one bow is ready to ship once the recipient gets his bow built. Not that anyone seems to need extra motivation so far this year -- I've seen some amazing progress.

I got the final coats of finish on this weekend and got a string made. I think she's good to go!
Beautiful work 4 Point. I really like to see risers that have really been sculpted.

Do you have a tip wedge in there?

The bows are still looking awesome!
I got mine back to 23" and is pulling 45#. It's looking like it'll end up about 50# by te time i get it to its full draw. I usually stop on the tree and sand and shoot in the bow the last couple inches. So I've got about 3" to go before that point. It should be just touching 50# at that point.  I do t think I'll have to heat treat to get them weight. I don't think I want to with this stave anyway as there are a few flaws that it might make worse by putting more stress on the sapwood back. I've been trying to correct a bit of string alignment issue by tillering it in, but it just isn't wanting to move yet. So I'll have to use some heat to bring it in. Otherwise the only heat will be used to bend the levers to match the curve of the bent bow.
The web browser won't allow me to log in through my phone, so atleast for now the links are the best I can do.

I managed to squeak a little time in the shop tonight and started shaping the riser. It looks a little more clunky than I had hoped but there is still wood to be removed.

If I keep this up I may actually end up with a bow-like object to send out.

Skeater who?

I got some band saw blades ordered as soon as I get them in I hope to get started. Although I have decided on some changes. I think I need to order a few more items from Kenny.

Nice Lonnie.
coon-catcher, is that a hinge on the top limb or natural deflex in the stave?

Mo_coon-catcher

It's a natural kink that has a reflex leading up to it. It definitely messes with the eye. It also has a bit of a hump at the handle that keeps making me think it's hinging at the center.
I think it's a few pages before this one that has a link to the picture of it before it's first brace.

Thanks beachbowhunter, yes I do use a tip wedge as well as a belly tip overlay.
