Bocote and Beli.  Hard maple for the core wood.  Plus, an accent strip made from Beli, Black Palm, and maple.

Ok, forgive me.  I'm not much good with making computers cooperate, but this should detail my progress thusfar.

Ok, looks like it worked.

Anyway, I went with spliced veneers of Bocote and Beli wood with a maple accent strip in the joint.  This same theme is carried out in the riser as well.

She's in the oven cooking as we speak.

Here is all I got, wanted to put an arch in riser like Craig did, but don't think it will work with the way I'm doing the riser on this one. So 2 straight accents....

Actually riser has 6 pcs...

Oh MAN, the top piece of riser slid a 1/16" !!

Crap.....

I feel sick....

Cannot believe I just did that...

I flipped a god dang veneer.  So, now, I have my pencil marks where I wrote, "This side down" clearly visible under the clear glass.  Ugh....

I swear, the only way I could be any dumber is if I were bigger.

aaaggghh man- sorry chap!!
but is that flipped veneer on the bottom limb?
would be great for someone like me- to know which way to hold the bow!!   :D

Ohhh  Chitttt..!!!  Get inventive...  Put a logo or something there...  Maybe some rhinestones or spell out the victims name with glitter...

Oh, it will make a nice looking and otherwise perfectly shootable bow.  Just not going to send something like that to my bow swap "victim".

That's what I get for allowing myself to get distracted when I'm doing a glue up.
