Worked on another r/d. It's been pulled to 19 inches so far.

Looks good Roy.  If you start making longer bows you are going to be turning the lights off and on when you exercise it on the tree.

LOL, took me a while to get that on the lights.. It's 65 tip to tip. Only ever made one longer and it was 68 tip to tip cause the dude had a 31 inch draw.

Oh.. and your bow is ok too, Roy.  Even if you did forget to taper the core.  What?  You say you don't remember forgetting that?

It's been a while but I finally popped out another bow...  Here are the stats for you performance Junkies...

It's a Girlie Bow @ 30#...   62" string...  string tension @ 7" - 56.80#...
          365 gr. - 175fps @ 29"
          410 gr. - 164fps @ 29"

The bow was somewhat an experiment and I needed a lightweight bow for people that cannot handle heavier poundages...  I need to get it bending a little more out on the limb for better peformance...

Nice work Shredd.  Is that your own manufacture glass?  Do you make it similar to the methos used by our our friend from Jakarta?

Finally got some time to work on the new RD form.  It's pretty much ready for a lay up and my order from Kenny is here.  Maybe before next weekend!!

LOL Mike!!

Rich, good lookin profile there! How do you measure the weight at brace, is that just whats on the string? 2 strings and a scale?

Monterey...  Yes...  Somewhat similar method...  I make mine wider so I can get 6 - 38" lams at 1 1/2" out of one sheet...

Yes, Kenny exactly...  It can help to fine tune performance, compare and see what is going on in the inner workings of a bow...

As a rule of thumb a fast bow (over 180fps) will have a string tension close to or over  double of what the draw weight is on my R/D bows...So if you have a 40# bow and if your string tension is 80# your arrow speed should be up there...
If you have two bows at 40# and they both have the same string tension but one is a bit faster than the other it could help to narrow down why one is getting better performance, such as limb mass, taper rate or limb geometry... Just another tool to help decipher through things... Or visa versa...  You may have two 40# bows with different string tensions...

Bvas

Shredd is the 30# @ 28" or 29"?
