Steve,
That is a one of a kind I had made at a machine shop.  I can trace it out on paper and send you a copy if you like.  PM me.   :bigsmyl:

Wish I could remember who all needs to get credit for this but after copying another jig I was able to successfully cut and grind some parallels today. Once I get comfortable with that I may get me a taper sled.

And a word to the wise, that little board for keeping your work against the fence is stronger than you think, keep your fingers tips out of the way.

Got a lot done tonight. nocks rough cut, initial shaping on the tips, sight window cut, some shaping and first stringing. I am hoping she will finish out nice.  My original stack was for #65, I changed from .050 glass to .040 for a target weight of #50-#55. I didn't scale the bow but it feels right in the range and super smooth draw. This bow will be donated to the rural leadership program I was accepted into last year, graduation is in a week where the bow will go in the silent auciton. I hope she raises lots of money and finds a good home.

Can't say enough good things about the supplies and service from Kenny's archery. Thanks Kenny.

I think he desert camo riser and accents are really going to pop once finished. The back accent is purple heart with desert camo, the nocks are purple heart, .050 glass and desert camo.

Getting there, I will look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow but I'm thinking finish shaping and sanding then two coats of gloss spar urethan and one of satin. Done.

Looking really good Pago, looks to preform well in the vid also. the only thing I would change if it were me is the shelf. I would like to see it drop off at the back... a nice radius along the entire shelf. But that's just me, and I am in no way trying to diss your work. like I said it looks awesome, great job.

Breazy,

Your observation is spot on.  Some may think it silly but I like stick on rests but, I like to leave the option of shooting off the shelf as well. I seriously thought about doing what you are suggesting. Thanks for the complements, I'm not the best or most artistic bowyer but I'm happy with way my "style" has developed.

Been trying to figure out the handle on this 54" D/R. I'm hoping this works out.

I need to thank you guys, it's VHT. I followed the directions and sprayed 3 coats gloss within 10 min of each other, two light one wet. Within 10 min of that I spayed one coat Satin. It's pretty warm here and VHT dries fast, I hope not too fast. It has been 48 hrs and I'm contemplating shooting it tonight. Any thoughts?

I think I'd go for it after 48 hours! Heck, I shoot mine with no finish on em most of the time, then spray it later after more sanding! LOL

Oh I shot it before I finished it.  My son and I shot it tonight.  I hate to brag but I do not want to let this bow go. It shoots SWEET!

I took a picture of my son shooting it, not posting any pics on my fat keester on the interwebs.
