This osage has been on the ground before 1997 when we bought the place.
A good bit of osage is on the ground, cut for fence post long before I got here.
I have been trying to make table tops and walking canes and so on. Could be 40/50 years?
There may be a bow or two here?

Most of what I see has moss on it

Future end table.
About 20" wide at the tape

It's probably fine Max, I don't know that I've ever seen Osage dry rotted and it's soooo hard there's only 1 or 2 bugs that can or will burrow in it.

I went to the pile of trees that were bulldozed back when we got the place to see what I could make out of some of it and the base of the tree looked like it could be a end table, so I was cutting some limbs out of the way and cut one log off and it looked OK so I cut it 6'.

We will see.

Just going to sneak up on it from here.

Won't be able to get back to it until Thursday.

It's Beer O'clock now. Got to get rid of that dust somehow!

Built another cabinet for shop, this one 30x30 wall mounted. Maybe I can keep stuff organized now.

Looks good Roy!!  I used to have one of those little stoves in my basement many years ago.  They make a lot of heat as long as your there to keep wood in them.

Oh ya on the heat, Dan. More than once I've had the windows and door open to cool the shop down when it was 10 degrees outside.

Yup Kenny she is shiny all right. That's what camo face paint is for..

Thanks Clint.
