Not sure it will fit in my carry-on. Wonder if I put it in a fly-rod tube if they'll let me take one on the plane?

Ok I correct my list on pg 112.

Congrats John.  That's a great looking bow.  Full draw looks great.

That's some good looking hickory.

LESKEN2011

Yeah, Kelly. I am still on the list. Been trying to make my first take-down for my recipient. Got limb forms and all the lams done. Then it came to the wedge.....I thought I had it done pretty good but the dry run showed a gap at the tip. Keep in mind this is an all wood bow. I kept working on it till there wasn't much of a wedge left. I got so frustrated I decided to take a break and get the wedge and glue up done next weekend. It is starting to look like I might have to fall back on the old reliable one piece, though.

Craig: Be there Tues - Sun. Not sure what my free time will look like yet though.

Weekend got away from me. No surprise really. Still have some hopes of cutting out the risers tonight, but lots of other stuff between me and bed time. At least I'm two months ahead of last year!

SQUIRREL!!!! After neighbor 1's big tree job this morning, neighbor 2 wanted a couple little ones down including an 8" hickory that was perfectly straight and branch free for the first 12 feet or so.

You gotta love how hickory bark peels this time of year!
That's some hickory there Dave!

I'll even show you how to make a real bow out of it!

Nice haul though, looks like some premium material.

Ben - You know that REAL bows draw more than 24", right? That makes it a bit harder -- just sayin'....

Well guys I am honored to have received this and its been a strange chain of events....it was supposed to have been delivered Friday but it would not fit in the mail ladies car which was probably for the best as Friday I had to have a good friend put down I did not notice that I had a package I had to pick up until Saturday afternoon Soooo a looooong wait until today and on the way to town I see an eagle in the ditch feasting on a deer carcass I know thatthere is a name somewhere in this if only I could pick it out...I will get out Open and get some pics by tomorrow.... here are some pics of the big gray dog and the majestic eagle

soy

Wow this is a thing of beauty.....I could take a thousand pictures and still would not do it justice!!!!breathtaking not unlike the eagle or a good bird dog beautiful both when still and working can't wait to let some arras fly out of it!!!!!
In fact I may just call it bird dog   :notworthy:
