The suspense is killing me ... I'm not a religious person but I'm praying that bow comes to me!!!!!!!!!!!

beings that NOTHING gets to canada that quick, i know it aint for me. whoever gets it is going to be one happy hunter.

got one more coat to wipe on my trade bow, couple blems that don't seem to want to come out and the fades didn't close as good as the dry run. but she's got a couple hundred shots and hitting hard. shot 3 arrows into target this morning and broke 2 nocks. ooops. installing leather pass/rest and grip after next coat and it'll be ready to ship. though i goofed and cut up my pvc tube to ship it in for a few arrow holders i strapped to the wall.

Glad you like it Joe. hope is helps you bag a thunder chicken. that riser block is bubinga. I figured this is about bow building and since the bow was going to a bow builder, he should at least have a start on his next one.

Roy from Pa

Too early for the good apple pie..  :)

Guess it's not for me Kenny. Just got home from work and no package on the porch....I was anxious for sure.

Btw Roy, it's never too early for the good stuff!

Roy from Pa

A little of the good apple pie in the morning and you don't remember too much of the rest of the day..  It's got 190 proof shine in it..  :)

That's cool Jim. Nicely done.
No deliveries at my house either. Keep at it Ink!  I'm looking to post some progress next week. Gotta get the bows finished before I start makin arrows.

D, it was hard waiting, that's for sure.  I had to hide the box behind a couple gun cases so I wouldn't see it every day.  But I really didn't want to "get" before I finished my swap bow.  Just didn't seem right.

Well, here she is.  A nice takedown longbow from Mr. Jim Rocole.  I love the woods in the limbs.  That grain is really nice.  Shot her for a bit today and she's pretty spot on with a few mixed arrows I pulled out of the pile.  With any luck, she'll get bloody next week on some turkeys!

I just sprayed the second coat of poly on my swap bow about 5 minutes ago.  Two more coats or so and she'll be ready for wax and ship!  Oh, and maybe a string.  That might come in handy.     :knothead:

Anyway, I'm really liking this sycamore with some finish on it.  Looks like a really coarsely grained lacewood - real pretty under some oil and poly.    :D

Unfortunately, that will all have to wait till tomorrow.  On nights for the weekend, so I'll be needing a lot of this    :coffee:   and wishing I was doing this    :archer2:    :(
