D, both look sweet.

Ya Soy, that sander has one hell of a drum on it, what kind is it?

Clams anything like sheep?

MoeM

Yep   :archer2:  when I went to visit Mr Holm I got it along with some action boo ....what a machine! I am disassembling the machine to replace the conveyor adjustment on the inboard side that's why the covers aren't on

MoeM

...Yep- the conveyor drives me nuts at the moment- no matter how fast I tension the outside setting screw the belts wants to "leave" the machine
F***ing piece of sh*** I was trying to solve this problem for few days but it keeps going left... really fu*** me up!
(excuse me I usually try to avoid "adult" language   )

Buemaker

Moe, is it the 10-20 that you have?

red hill

D, I'm partial to osage, but I'm also like timbermoose. I'd take either. They are both quite nice.

At work tonight so I won't be able to get back to my trade bow until tomorrow afternoon.

soy

Don't hold back tell us how you really feel

Roy from Pa

Moe, I understand son..  :)

Got the swap bow pretty much done. Just might keep her and make another one for the swap.. I like it...

Breath Moe and count to ten..lol.  Hell that never works for me either.  I usually end up hitting stuff with a hammer until I feel better..lol

I did a little work tonight.  I'm going with the walnut strip instead of the osage on the riser.  I carried it with me today and asked a few different people and every one picked the walnut so that settles that.  I got my veneers ready tonight.  I went with a different design for the splice from what I put on here earlier.  Something that didnt require it to be dead set in the center.  So here is a picture of the ones I'm going to use.  I like these better than the ones with the point anyway not to mention they are a lot more user friendly.

D

Geez Roy that's nice.  I like the color of the boo and tips.

talkingcabbage

Beautiful Roy!  And I love the grains in your lams D!  Gotta love curly maple and walnut.  I kinda liked the osage stripe just for a little something different.  But the walnut looks nice too.

"If your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt."

One of two things will happen; it'll either work or it won't.

Roy from Pa

Well don't send it to me, D boy. I wanted the Osage..   :)

I guess it's ok. They keep getting better, but I am in search of the perfect BBO..   :)   Some day I'm gonna build it too...

Bamboo backed bows are tuff. It's a love hate relationship with me. Sometimes you get a shooter, sometimes the boo blows up a splinter and ya gotta patch it up so you still have a shoot able . Such is life I guess. But it's all fun...

Roy from Pa

Sometimes after spending 40 hours making a BBO, and bad chit happens. I just want to throw in the towel. I get so disgusted, all that time goes down the drain so to speak. But I just jump back on the horse and ride again..  :)

bigbob2

That bow looks brilliant there Roy boy.also love your veneers 'D', nice looking bows coming along.

MoeM

X² on what Bob said and Bue yes it is a 10-20... usually a power- and usefull tool   :banghead:    :banghead:    :banghead:

Dmaxshawn

John Scifres
