Drove a bus full of middle school students to a water park in Texarkana, AR.  We took 3 buses full of kids and they had a ball!

I decided to get serious about my spray finish process...I bought a couple new toys...

Started spaying a couple bows today! I love this set up so far I feel like I am in control of the spraying and I am getting the Thunderbird to lay down a nice smooth finish.

I am just finishing up this bow...I love it! This is my first round of cutting my own veneers from a piece of Cocobolo that I purchased locally. I made the riser from some of the same Cocobolo and some Padauk. Right now I don't think I will put a riser overlay on it. I used Cocobolo nock overlays. The core wood is two parallel lams of bamboo and one red elm taper. It is 58" ntn and shoots so nice!

Still have finish sanding and then laying down a spray finish. I was building this for a guy's birthday...his wife is surprising him - but that is not until July so I just might keep this one and start over on his.   :D

I went to a trad shoot not too far from home today and I shot in one of the longbows I recently made. The weather is fine and the bow shoots them right where I'm looking. Even when I look at a tree limb instead of the target.    :o

I made the hour & a half drive to spend the day with JamesV at his shop where he helped me with my first glass bow build. Well, it was really more like I helped him. It was well worth the trip and I learned an awful lot. I should have taken more pics and more notes, for sure, cause there is a lot of valuable bow information rambling around in my brain it may take weeks for me to absorb. Thanks, James and Sara for your kindness and hospitality in putting up with me, yesterday. I learned a lot.

Way to go Kenny. Keep after it...

This weekend I finally made up my sanding patterns and figured out how to do a flare. I'm psyched!

Dang beech wish I could figure out how to do that... It looks awesome!

Thanks Justin. It took some head scratching and a few false starts but I think I have a system worked out.  Maybe I should do a "flare-along"..
