Planning right now , got some ideas(dangerous I know)in my head.

Got a few days off my real job, so we'll see how it goes.

64" D/R longbow

50+ @ 28"

Clear .050 glass ul (normally use .040 but got a diabolical plan)

some walnut veneers that had a 1/4" knothole in em

Grenadillo riser?? (maybe walnut and phenolic or all phenolic)

Amber-boo cores ??(maybe walnut)

I'll try to take some pics and maybe even do a build on it...              :dunno:

You know you already built it and your just teasing us.   C'mon Kenny that's not right man.  Show us the pics already.

Kenny, all phenolic riser sounds interesting.. with a couple of wood lams added for the fades. I prefer a bow with a little extra mass weight in the riser.

Roy from Pa

Bout time ya make yourself another bow:) Looking forward to this, Kenny...

Just messing with ya big guy.   PV did one a while ago called bear run.  All phenolic and lacewood.  Stunning.  Look it up.  Can't wait to see what you do.   I have a all phenolic one coming up.

I'm more curious about the diabolical plan!

Get that thing built by the 26th so I can shoot it!

I love walnut.  Been wanting someone to use some in some limbs.

That sounds like a good plan, Kenny. I would like to see your riser design with some phenolic in it.  I have been thinking about using some as well. Should look and feel nice.

Did a little between orders, heres what we have so far...

The patched lams.........

Ground to .040 "   ....

The riser pieces from back/belly view....

The scrap I found to rip to .250" for color on sides of riser....

I actually think it is from the same board as the lams. Lucky find in the scrap bin!!

Gonna put the mating surfaces outside to show, hope that looks right when done!!

And Norb- my diabolical plan is to grind the glass at .0005" per inch taper to reduce tip weight.     :D

So, from .050 to .035 on the belly glass and same on back, but in one piece....

Which I've done already.....

Oh, I went maple on core just to be different....

Ya know, if you have a 6" piece of scrap we could make something to go along with your new bow.  Just a thought...

It was a 3/4" board, so I would have to lam something up!  :)
