I was getting ready to leave the house and this thread had to interfere with my plans once again. My trade bow showed up!!!

Its a 66'' NTN 55 @ 29" red oak pyaramid board bow by Eagleone. Strung it up, installed a nock and shot about 50 arrows, nice shooting bow! Once I got the feel of it I was grouping arrows quite well.

Nice job Jeff!

Here are some pics.

Yes, indeed! Every one of these bows was worth waiting on! Well done, All!  :clapper:

Inky, I'd leave it uncovered. That is a pretty piece of wood.

two more examples of fine craftsmanship. Ok we have 68 bows received and 8 still in the mail we are almost 80% complete.

I maybe off here for a bit. I have a 19 hour drive ahead of me. My wifes grandmother took a turn for the worse this AM and we are heading back east for a bit.

KellyG

Ink what is your bow made of again?

inksoup

kelly;

out of wood lol  :)

mulberry core, (it was hard piece of work since i did not done making something out of wood block. it was double size of this. maybe waste some though  :)  )
backed with, beech+chestnut+beech combination lam which i played with the same trick with this:

but mine is much more simple. just straight.

well that's it.
when i find a time to go for shopping i will buy pipe and ship it away.

best.

That is a real nice looking boardbow Sporthunter. Looks like a nearly perfect piece of wood for it. I have made a couple of those but given them all away. Think I might have to visit the hardware store and get me a cheap project for the winter. I hope it looks as good as yours.

Found a long white tube on my doorstep this afternoon, inside was a beautiful bamboo- osage longbow built by David Grant
(Canopyboy). It was well worth the wait, the curly maple riser is very nice, and over all just a well built bow. This bow is sure to see some hunting time this year. Thank you very much David.

All these bows being delivered makes a fella in Alaska mighty lonely.....

I'd love to get a picture back with that bow hunting someday.  Especially if it's with something bloody.  I'm glad you like it.  Thanks for waiting patiently.  -canopy

I would really like to see a picture with something bloody myself, I've only killed one deer with a bow since I went traditional seven years ago. I definately won't be putting a handle wrap on it, that maple is just too pretty.

I finally had a chance to get pics of the great bow I received from Steven Russell. I'll let the pics do the talking!

Awesome bow Pat.  Is that osage?
