Great lookin' bow, WestTexan! Hackberry seems to be catching on quickly these days.
Still tillering my trade bow. Gonna be close on the weight, but I think it'll work out to the good.

I'm starting to get nervous here...gonna be away for 2 weeks and still need to paint my bow and send it...  :)
Anyways..quick question:
How do you guys "package" the bows for postage?
I would hate to have it arrive in two pieces

Roy from Pa

I use plastic pipe, 2 or 3 inch depending on the bow, pad the bow well, and make plugs out of wood that fit into the end of the pipe and run wood screws into the plugs. Insurance is dirt cheap through the mail..  I paid $2.75 for $200.00 worth of insurance.

Johan,
For longbows I use triple wall drain pipe, there are a couple photos of it on page 38. For a recurve you might want to build a wooden box.
I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming

Shaun looks like you have a good start.

West Texan that is wow, I know ********* can wait to get their hands on that bow.

I have 16 bows received and one in transit. Things should be heating up on here in the next few days.

Shaun

Ships out tomorrow.

Dressed it the way I like a hunting bow - beeswax over scraper finish with form follows function skived wrap handle and TS 1+ string. Lean on it to tell a story, whack weeds from the path, check muddy stream depth for wading, toss it out of a tree stand and fend off charging boars - all in a days work for a Taurus selfbow and still ready to make the shot.

62.5" NTN, 3/16" positive tiller, here it is at my 27" but it tillered out a little farther for *******.

Unbraced it lays as straight as an ... think I'll throw in the arrow so the new owner can shoot it right away.

soopernate

Beautifully tillered weapon there....simple yet deadly.
I humbly follow in the learned footsteps of those who precede me.

KellyG

now that is a nice looking shooter. I will mark you as shipped just let me know if you dont get it out for some reason.

Keenan

well the 18th bow was received but i know of 1 more in the mail. The shaveings should be flying now. Lets see some bows.

Roy from Pa

How many total are there Kelly? Was it 84 or so?

AKmud

I actually flung a few arrows through mine last night!  A little shocky, but that should clean up with a proper brace height and shaping the nocks.  Working on shaping the handle/grip now.  I'm close on weight...may end up piking it a bit.
