'nother question; how is the bow held in place? Is that a Velcro strap or elastic? Is the grip/saddle padded? How about a close up of that part.

DCM

Kenny 172 doesn't seem right.  You got a decent string on that thing?  28" draw, reasonable brace height?  Is it off your r/d form?

The outer limb looks a smidge generous in width no more than I can see, but not enough to account for 172.

Cool machine.

how long till you get a arrow in the door??;-)

Roy from Pa

Nice, would be great for tuning arrows:)

LC

Man thats cool! Might have to try that myself. You do realize your real close to making a crossbow! lol Come to think on it a shooting machine might be a good name for them.

Shaun,I'll get a better pic for ya! I padded with 1.5" fuzzy velcro and tried to use the hook part to hold the bow, didn't like it so 2 screws and a tarp strap completed the deal.
Works good as the leather strap on the real hooter shooter

David, that was a 10 str. d97 and 10gpp arra. Not tuned to the bow tho, just some stuff that came up with weight.Think it did better with fingers and the 600 grain off the 46 # bow! Need to test more and better. It is my d/r form, and the limbs need work!

Tim,  Hey,I moved my truck so I didn't test the door AND the radiator!   :D

Roy,not sure about tuning, the release I'm using doesn't account for the side movement of string with finger release.

LC, this c-bow would be tuff to pack, the machine isn't bad,but the bench weighs about 100#
Stay sharp, Kenny.

very cool indeed! Kenny have you picked up any of the Xbows out there? 100lbs is about right in the  ball park! lol Seriously I like it alot, might have to rig one up myself and play with my bows on it.

Oh yeah, I tested with a 9 gpp arra(both bows are now 48# after adding glass p lams to the new test bow and tweakin the limbs)

The maple bow is 184 fps and the tip wedge/power lam bow is 189 fps

That is only 6 fps behind Blackies test of a  Centaur carbon elite 60" bow with 9 gpp at 195 fps,so I'm pretty happy with the results.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Thanks Kenny. I found a triggered release in some wheelie gear my dentist gave me recently and now I have a use for it - shooting machine release! Another project for later this winter, gotta go to the UBM gathering this weekend and then on down to TX to keep the hogs honest.
