here is one I arrowed a doe out of last fall.

picture is sideways but it is two oak tops that formed a canopy over me. it is about 6 yds deep so the shadows are good. almost like a little cave.

this is one of my favorite pictures of me ground hunting. moments before i took this picture i shot a doe at 10 yards. i had over 10 deer come past me that morning and none of them ever saw me all walked the same trail. this big tree fell over and it made a perfect place to sit. no brusing in was needed i just sat right against the tree on my chair.

These pics sure get my blood pumping.  I have to get out and freshen up my 3 or 4 blinds pretty soon.  Keep the pics coming!

I'd like to revive this old thread to see if anyone is interested in adding to it. I am trying to learn as much as I can about hunting from the ground (specifically with natural blinds, but maybe not exclusively) and would probably benefit a great deal from seeing what other folks are doing. I have one of those Hammock Seats and find it very comfortable and something I can shoot from. Just trying to get some ideas about making myself a little more difficult to see while using it. Thanks in advance.

I killed deer out of both of these, both blinds had shoot through holes in the foliage so I didn't have to raise up to shoot.

I got the big buck out of the leafy blind in the second picture.

Pretty cool thread. Hope to see more ground set ups.

Just wanna keep this at the top and fresh. Such a good thread I'd hate for it to fall behind. I know there is more ground hunters out there!!

I mainly hunt from the ground since my spinal surgery. I have alot of natural blinds through out my hunting areas. But don't have any pics of them.

The best view from the inside.  Yes, North Dakota does have a few elk!
