Recently found this picture dated 1968 of my wife Nancy and I on my Honda Trail 90. I ended up owning two of those great little bikes. I even strapped a deer of two on the back but unfortunately I never took a picture.

Any of you other "older" guys got young pictures?

My oldest Son who is 55 years old now. I'm wearing my green wool jacket with a Michigan Bowhunters patch on the arm.

Right around that time I hunted for 8 days in a row without seeing a deer. On the 9th day I almost didn't go because it was really windy. I went anyway and killed a doe that evening with my Bear recurve. I tied it on the back of the Honda and road 4 miles home.

This picture is around 1961

What I was trying to comment on was the Kwikee Kwiver. Just like mine, I don't think they had even thought of a hood for them.
Surprised we're not all injured or worse from flailing around the woods with open quivers.
I started hunting in NC in 1970, every weekend the season was open.
I didn't see a live deer on the hoof for 2 1/2 years.
When I did see one, I about fell out of my Baker treestand shaking so bad.
Somehow, the doe ran into my arrow and died.

I don't have any hunting pics of myself in the early days.

Here I am in 67 at Ft Rucker, I was 19 years old.

The next picture is of me out in the shop making a flintlock rifle a couple of years ago.

Kip

Found another one my rabbit kill that day above.

I don't have a single picture of myself with my first longbow in 1955 or my second bow, a solid fiberglass bow in the late 50s/early 60s.

Here is one from 1969 with my first deer kill/bow kill. Sorry I have to keep posting it since I can't go back in time to take some more.

And here's me as a hippie in 1972.

And here's my best deer to date from the 70s.

And a fairly recent picture with my son and granddaughter at a 3-D shoot.
