I received my Blackfeather from Elmer Patton yesterday and got around to taking a few pics. This is a 62 inch bow and is 56lbs at 27 inches. This is my first custom longbow made to my specs and sure is a sweet shooter.  Thanks Again to Elmer for working me in his busy schedule.

The woods are Bocote and Ziricote and the 2 arrows side by side were at 20 yards and the low one was at 25 and a different angle. I am still tuning but can already tell this will spend some time in the bush this season. Life is GOOD... LOL

Nice bow!! I have one Elmer made me a while back with recurve limbs and later had him make me some longbow limbs. Sweet shooters for sure.

"instinctive archery" is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

What a pretty and nicely shaped riser.

Elmer is low tech bowhunter97. About all he has is a phone. He still builds every bow by hand.

Ron,

That is really a great looking take down longbow. Like "the Ferret" said, a very nicely shaped riser. Supper wood combo also. Nice shooting.
