hi gang,
i was expecting two new risers in the mail from bob morrison. when the box showed only one riser was left. someone cut the box open and stole one. i would like to ask for your help incase they try to sell it. it is a shawnee riser, all osage with full pinecones. it has my name, matt laughlin on it. i'll see if i can get the serial # from bob. i would be grateful if you any or all would keep your eyes peeled. thank you very much in advance.

Now that we've exhausted all possibilities, lets get started.

Should have been insured. File with the PO. At least you will get your money back or Bob will build you another one. That is just wrong, hope it works out.

His right nut should have been insured? But I thought it had pine cones...

Hard to think that someone would have stolen one, and left the other. Easier to snag the box and walk. Pursue the insurance options, they can be a pain, but they work. Had a bow arrive for my husband that was delammed big time, the bowyer was reimbursed and made another for Mockingbird.

Meantime, I am keeping my eyes peeled for a right nut with full pinecones. Will snag the left one too, if I get a chance.  :D

Killdeer~why did they take away my laffsmyle gremlin?

Some good tips above.  Also, if the theft was a local one Bob M. might be able to tell you if/to who he has sold any Shawnee models (complete bows, risers or limbs) in your general area, which could be useful in narrowing the search.  Notifying the local shooting clubs (3-D) and shooting ranges (indoor) might also eventually turn up a lead.  Finally, you could try posting a message in your local paper to the thief, saying you will be doing all that and more until you can find and prosecute his sorry a$$ (life on the run...)...unless the riser appears back on your doorstep in as-new condition.  Never know, maybe the dirtbag can actually read even if he has no scruples.

If Bob has a picture of the riser try posting it on all the websites.  Sooner or later someone will see an osage pineconed Cheyenne riser with the serial # removed.

Someone would have to know that thing was in there and plot to take it.I would ask ups  to interview the person who picks Bob's packages up.Maby he know's somthing. It might be laying in lost and found.Hope you find it.

i had a dwyer dauntless shipped to me a month ago...all i got was a piece of the box... unfortunately all you can do is contact the post office and go thru there claims process..also contact Morrison because they should of shipped it insured... they will have to also file a claim and give them the reciept information... Myself and another fellow tradganger are going thru the claims process with the us postal service right now to get reimbursed for the missing bow.. keep everything you have ..receipts the opened box etc...
