How many of you shoot or have shot a Fedora, and what do you think of them?  Which model do you own?

Thanks,
Mike

560 T/D.

It immediately replaced my Palmer that had no serious contenders after 4 years although many attempts were made.

I now have 3.

I shoot a Xtreme T/D 54" longbow. Very fast and quite.

JUST PICKED UP A BEAUTIFUL USED 58" XCELLERATOR 53#S AT 28" 50 #S AT MY 27" SMOOTH DRAW NO HAND SHOCK AND QUIET     AS A MOUSE EVEN WITH FAST FLIGHT STRING ON IT.    PREMIUM WOODS 6 LAMS WITH BOCOTE VENEERS AND IT SHOOTS BETTER THAN IT LOOKS! BOCOTE RISER AND GONCALVO ALVES  OR KINGWOOD MIKE COULDN'T TELL ME THE EXACT WOODS.

I have a 560 one piece and an xtreme 3 piece long bow. Both are fast, quiet, superior workmanship and are well worth the wait and bucks they cost. The Fedora's are stand up folks.

The Whittler

I have a 560, 60" one piece. Well made, it spits an arrow quite well,BUT the one I have DOSE HAVE HAND SHOCK with dracon string and a little with FF. And because of the hand shock I would not buy another one. Alan

Had a 560 TD 53lbs@28".  Grip was a bit too big for me and I never got used to that big thumbrest, but it was the fastest bow I had (all my bows are 47-53lbs).  Took some doing to quiet it down, and had way more hand shock than my Chek Mates and Kota.  Everything in Traditional seems to be a trade off, you pick your poison...

Just didn't fit my style well...

Just got a 52" stalker 40#s at my draw.Great bow, seems very fast at a lighter # than my other bows.NO hand shock very smooth 26" draw, just need to quiet it down a bit.Change the silencers that were yarn to the rubber spider legs.Anyone have any quick tips to help quiet it? NOT loud but want it quiet as possible has a TS1 string on it.
Thanks Ron

Looking at the pictures of a stalker there's alot of string touching those recurve limbs. So what I would do is put velcro or molesskin at that point also you can try bowhush. Playing around with the position of the silencers can help also.

I had a one piece for a while. Should'nt of sold it. Fast bow and very well mannered. Really shined with a B50 string. With the FF string I never could get it very quiet. With the B50 all you heard was a slight thump....did'nt really notice any loss of speed either. It was 56lbs and I used 12 srand B50.

I have a 62" xcellerator 50@28 which I love and also have a 560 takedown on the way. Great bows and very fast. Playing with the brace height will help minimize hangshock.

Thanks for the info,Mike recommends B50 i believe.I better order one!!!!!

Seeking Trad Deer

I own the 560 and Stalker.  Only downsides I have found with Fedora bows are the grips run a bit on the larger side and they can be expensive if custom made instead of buying a new one in their pro shop.  I love both of mine and would buy them again.  Fedora seems to be one of those bows that you never hear stories of cracks in risers or other stuff.  Seem like strong solid and dependable bows.

The Stalker was a bit noisy for my three fingers under and I needed to set the nock about 1.5" high to get it to shoot perfect.  Putting on the velcro at the limb tips really helped to quiet the bow.  My 560 is so quiet that deer don't run after I shoot the bow.  I have a Skokum one arrow quiver strapped on the limbs and this took out any noise that was left after the string silencers and playing with the brace height.

I have found my Fedora's like lighter spined arrows than one would typically figure.  My 560 shoots a 29 1/2 inch 2018 with a 200 grain point best and is 60# at my draw weight.  They are also on the fast side and very purty   :jumper:

Me and my dad love the fedora grips cuz they actually fit in our, according to Mike and Jason, "abnormally large hands." They felt a bit odd at first but after shooting you grow to really like em.
