The Westvang's of Dryad Bow fame have purchased the Helle knife distributorship. Their website is up and they are ready to ship orders.

It is with mixed emotions I make this announcement. We enjoyed selling quality Helle knives and met many great folks over the last 3 years. Life has been too busy with not enough time for hunting, fishing, bow building, and such.

Kyle and I extend our sincere thanks for your business and we enjoyed your friendships. May our paths cross somewhere down the road. Best of luck to all.

The new URL is  www.dryadbows.com/helleknives

Let's keep this near the top for a couple of days for the Westvangs.
Happy Trails,

Good luck to you Chad! Thanks for your service and product in the past. I made a small order tonight and discovered the ownership change. Best of luck also to Mike and Jason. Mike

I look forward to working with everyone with the new business.  It is such a great fit with Dryad Bows with both the finished products and the blanks.  We have our new booth in hand and will be on the road in just a few days to Compton.  Look for both Helle Knives and Dryad Bows there.

I tell ya we have to thank Chad for all the help during this transition.  It sure has been hard not telling until we got the website up and working.  And the order process has been kinda crazy over the past few weeks.  Things should settle down now.

Look for some new things on the website.  We are looking at some multiwood combos for handle blanks and some different woods also.

Sorry to hear that Chad, but glad to see some fella Tradgangers and upstanding guys (and one special gal) like the Westvangs getting the business.

What are you going to do with all that spare time now? especially in Montana where there is nothing to hunt or fish LOL

Best knife I've ever owned is the Fjellman I bought about 3 years ago. I feel like I have a lightsaber in my hand when I'm using it. Really like the classic look of #30 from the anniversary series.

Best of luck Chad, thanks for the help and patience on the kit blade order from a couple of years ago. Now I should get around to putting it together finally...
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

Haven't built a knife in a couple years that wasn't made out of a bandsaw blade so think I'll order a couple of blanks and make some shiny knives. Got my eye on one that should make a dandy..uh..gonna tell ya later if they work out   :bigsmyl:

MIKE..NEED A COUPLE KNIFE BLANKS......  ;)

Sounds like a good deal for all parties. Can't wait to get a new knife to match my new bushwacker bow now. Good luck to both Chad and Mike and family.
Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.

Chad, last weekend I used the most-recent Helle blade you sold me to skin, quarter, bone out, and then flesh the hide of the bear I killed about two hours from home.

When finished, I wiped the blade clean on my pant leg, and shaved the hair right off my arm.

I've owned enough Helle knives to know it would still shave hair after all that work, but it's still fun to do it just because it makes me happy that I have such a great knife.

Enjoy your time in the hills Chad!
I enjoyed meeting you at the shows and the ATHA booth. Hope to meet up with you at some of the shoots in the future. Now if I had only known that this was the last year you had Helle I would of picked up one this spring. Best of luck . Eric

Chad, it was a pleasure doing business with you in the past. I hope you get to enjoy the outdoors even more now.

Mike, I got he blank and the knife is almost completed. I'll post pic's in a couple of days in the knife exchange thread.
