A friend of mine found a longbow lying on the side of Rt. 80 in Stroudsburg, Pa. on the weekend of the Wittingham shoot. It's a 64" 63# Viper, custom made. Send me a PM for additional info.

Could you contact the bowyer, maybe he would recognize it? Well minus the road rash, tar, Michelin tracks, and possum guts....
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

He could have shot bad and thrown it out the window.  I've thought about doing that before.   ;)

Just kidding, hopefully he will see your post.

I witnessed a fishing rod being broken into small pieces, a couple of weeks ago. The fellow was having his line 'eaten' and twisted by the spool and gears.

After a brief silence, after he threw the outfit from the boat to the bank; I dryly stated, "I'd a just thrown that reel away."  :bigsmyl:

It was one of those old Johnson closed face spinners.

I lost my bow on the side of the road once.  Long story, but I wish somebody like you would have found it.  Good luck finding the owner.

Stone Knife

It sure is nice to see an honest person around nowadays. My father in law lost a shotgun once and some kids driving to school saw it roll off the tool box of his pickup. they picked it up followed him and returned it, there still are a lot of good people left out there.

Several years ago in Arkansas my hunting buddy's 16 y.o. son found a high-dollar compound all rigged out in a case on the side of the road. I can't remember now if he ever found the owner or not - I know he tried.
