FIRST TIME BOWFISHING!!!!...yahooooo!

WOW, I've got to say that Bow-fishing has GOT TO BE one of the coolest ways to spend a day outside. I went for the first time in my life today at a local lake not far from OKC, Lake Overhosler. The north end is fed by the north canadian river and has lots of cat-tails all over the place. I just went to the waters edge and waited. Right off the bat I missed a NICE gar, prolly 6" thick!!!! Half scared me lol. Missed several little ones and finally connected on a small male, pinned him down. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!
It's tough to hit them guys with the water screwing you up, limited time, and PURE STINKING EXCITEMENT!!!!!ahahahahah, I had a blast.

Tim;   Just a suggestion, Don't shoot a gar or carp between the eyes unless you have a hammer and wedge handy; or more arrows with points ready.   Canned carp are great to eat if fixed right.   I've heard some people in Kansas that fix gar right eat their fillets?   Bowfishing is instant gratification and lots of fun.
