Kodiak Mag

I went and shoot A New Kodiak Mag and I was impressed!! I real considering going back and picking one up! its just as smooth as my Bob Lee Hunter! The cast was great! What are the pros and cons of these? I'm thinking of selling my Bob Lee!1 I must be dreaming!!

I have heard from others that there is some quality control issues with the "new" bear traditional bows. I was considering one myself at one time, but decided to go a different route.

I will be honest I did shoot a Super K-mag and the top limb was twisted it made a slapping noise. I also shot a Cheyenne that I didn't care for and the medalen fell out! I was impressed with the K-mag

May I ask what you differant route was if you don't mind shareing. I'm looking for a short bow for blinds and I just seam to shoot about the same with the short ones.

I can shoot my K-Mag pretty well for a while.  Over the long haul my accuracy starts to go south and I have to put it down for a bit.

Quality control is getting sporadic on the bows these days from what I've seen and heard.  I'd definitely buy one where I could carefully look over the actual bow to be purchased as opposed to ordering one from a catalog place.  I've seen a few hanging that were simply sad.  I've seen some nice ones too though.

I personally think the grip on the current K-Mag is awesome, along with the Cheyenne they fit me like a dream.

I bought one today and gave it a close eye over. The bow shoots great and I just love the feel of this set up! It realy makes me wonder how the plains indians felt and the Mongrol Horse archers performed with there short light poundage bows!

love both my K mags,,I have a 68 and an 05. I've been letting some freinds fling some arrows out of my 05,,they are impressed with the bow as I am too.

I've got two early 70's K Mags and like them both very well. There is just something about the foward grip riser that I feel gives you better accuracy. That being said I must say that I like long bows better. I just bought a Wes Martin Mosshorn 54" long bow that has a foward grip much like the K Mags and the Shrews and I like it very well. I had also bought a new Bear Super Mag and the upper limb blew up after a month. If you buy a K Mag I would look around for a older Grayling model.  Brokenwing

I shot whitebuffalos K-Mag.The 05 model.I was prepared for the worst  as i draw over 30 inches and heard negative things about these short bows before.I was pleasantly surprized at how nice it shot.It was quiet and solid feeling and the grip was very comfortable.The bow Jason had was nicely made with strong tips and a wedge in the limbs at the tips i believe.In a nutshell Jasons was a nice little bow that frankly surprised me.

I too heard and read about the finger pinch. I never shot one to find out. If I didn't want to get into a ground blind for hunting I never would have. I bought the bow back home this morning and shot for over a hour and it was like I didnt shoot at all! When I better off financialy I will add more.

i really liked my K-mag, but got rid of it.  regret that, gonna have to get another one.
also had a newer super kodiak, but gave it to a cousin.  probably amistake, it was a heckuva nice shooter.

ive got a k-mag for the 70's i LOVE it! i definatly reccommend one fom Grayling, (thatd be before 1982 i believe...)

The more I shoot the more I like the moverability and the portability of this bow
