Metal tang on basic bowfishing reel ?

I'm asuming you mean the little "sping steel" line clip. You slide your line under it so that when you put your bow down by your side (horizontal) the line doesn't peel off and pile up at your feet.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

OK, that makes too much sense.  Butif it's interfering with the line flying off...should I file er down a bit ?

thanks for the info. Got everything mounted up and arrow with slide system is flying well !
Now, if the weather would just cooperate we could try some fishin ! :\\
