There is always someone that knows more than you, and someone that knows less than you, so you can always learn and you can always teach

WOW! Those Easterns are so pretty! I just love the outstanding barring on the wings. I suppose turkey are no different than we hunams in that we all have a few ugly cousins. Here are some of your Easterns ugly cousins from the South. Rio's out the window of my pop-up blind. That's 6 yards the way I measured it. These guys went on to gobble another day. I was hunting a hog contest when I took these pics. Hope I'm not hijacking a thread. CK

whole bunch of ugly cousins!  :D

No hijack at all CK welcome any and all turkey pics (and the deer on the horizon)

Mayybe it's the light but your right the rios don't look like they have as distinct of barring on the wing feathers as ours.

       We open tomorrow, and though I can only hunt for an hour and a half, I will be out there........Mickey,  Hunter and I saw 28 birds over the weekend, closest tom was 25 yards, so he walked away, but we were into birds right up until noon on Sunday when we had two strutting toms at 60 yards in the woods we were in, we ended the youth weekend with Hunter telling me I was taking him back this coming weekend.....I can't wait.
