Yesterday there was supposed to be a large contingent of TG'ers heading to the Trad shoot in Chelsea, Quebec. Well I think the other boys all got cold feet except for me, Jake H and Frenchymanny...   :scared:    ;)   We made the long drive and were soon in Quebec in the rolling hills of the Gatineau region. It poured rain and by the time we headed out, it was a quagmire...   :help:  The very rugged course was 30 targets in a row in some very hilly, slippery terrian. We all shot Mississippi lake Longbows for the course. Manny was bowless, so Jim ( who had a booth set-up there) lent him his personal bow to shoot the morning with us. We all shot the upper course very well, and Bernie, we managed to anchor one of these guys for you..   :goldtooth:
Now the pic was taken by accident on movie mode , so I had to pick a frame from the short clip and try to make a pic of it, not the best, but you get the idea!
So in total, 4 TGers shot the course.
Manny is pulling the trigger and ordering a bow from Jim, I already have my deposit in for a sweet little 62"er    ;)

Nice shooting guys!  F-manny, that being your first 3-D shoot, the other guys did tell you that can't keep the dinosaur and send it to Bernie, right????

Yes last Friday Cary,I went to see Jim,tried his personal longbow and place an order for one.I had Jim to unpack almost all of his bows that he packed ready for the drive to Chelsea    :D    :D    :D . I settle for a 64" r/d #60@29",cocobolo limb lam, same for riser with
two Maple stripes with a stripe of red phenolic.Should be very nice.
Jim is a nice person, unpacked most of his bows for me and let me tried any bow he has, showed me his shop, his work in process,ect...Can't ask for any better,he's the man, thanks Jim.
I like his bows,he does excellent work.Tell me about yours Cary    :archer:

My  newest will be a 62" R/D  osage lams, maple core,
zebrawood/cocoblo riser with osage and maple accent stripe, along with zebrawood/cocobolo handle overlays.
black phenolic tips with an underlay of zebrawood...going to be very good looking   :archer:   going to be in the lower 50's at my 26" draw. Good for all stuff!

LOL - I'm so sorry I missed this to start with (my neighbor Mike Brooks headed me to it tonight). I've really had my hands full lately and just been "skimming". That's really funny, and I appreciate all of you thinking of me and the kids at ATAR - even if they wouldn't let you keep the Dino to send to me. Yer hearts wuz in thu right place ennyways, guys! (They got one of those Red Frogs up at ATAR too, for the kids to shoot at - it's called a "Poison Frog" by the Mfg. for some reason. They also make a regular color one, I guess is why.) Thanks for trying, guys!!!

Glad you guys had a good time. Nonething like shooting stick bows with other guys shooting sticks. Have not been to a shoot for a few weeks we are right in the middle of Spring Gobbler season and I am to tired to do anything. Hunt 5 hr. of the morning go in and work 8 hr. and yard work right at dark and get up at 4 and start all over. BUT I LOVE IT. and the carp should start chasing each other any time. How does my wife put up with me? Anyway glad you guys had a good time.
