I know several places sell brass inserts for axis arrows, but has anyone used anything else like wire, screws, or drill rod epoxied in behind the aluminum insert to increase weight up front. Would like to add 100gr up front.

Nothing you do will be as consistant as the brass...why mess around for ten bucks.

I agree with bjk brass inserts is the best way to go.It is a small ID you would have to use a threaded rod and experiment with how long it would need to be.Brass inserts are better and easier and it concentrates the weight more on the front end.

I use the 250gr points and I have the 340 at around 580 grains and they shoot out of my widow at 185 to 190 fps. My foc is around 16 %
