What size arrow do i need for 40# @28 inch draw but using a 30 inch arrow.Tip weight would 100 or 125 grains. thanks scott. 1916? or 2016

I would recommend 1916 with 125 grain tip. Your setup is real close to mine. But with 100 grain tips, you may need 1816. All depends on the tuning.. I use 1916's with 125 gr tips with my setup.

My guess would be 1816. Here's a good chart that has always been on the money for me.

Either one should work with a cut to center or cut past center recurve that can be tuned. 1916 might be best if not.....Van

I would agree. Without testing, 2016s for a 30" arrow. If you are going to test, follow the chart (awesome chart bye the way). If you can get away with broadhead clearance at 29", look closely at the 1916s.

I use a 28 1/4" arrow at 38# to 45# in a couple of bows and 1916 is may favorite. If you are just target and 3D'ing- 1816, hunting- 2016, both- 1916.

Of course, this is just my opinion and what works best for me.
