i recently "scored" a used filson jacket, and am curious if anyone can tell me anything about it.
the only tag is the collar tag that says "100% virgin wool".
shirt is olive green, fairly heavy but not as  heavy as my vest, and the pocket pattern seems to be the same as the mackinaw jacket, with the back pocket  and 5 snap pockets.
can't find it on the filson web page, though...
sure is warm and quiet...
tell me how close you got, not how far you shot

The old Filson,Johnson, and Woolrich jackets (and shirts) can be found in your local "thrift stores" at some very cheap prices if you look for them. I seldom go a week or so without checking the local "GoodWill" store for "bargins" LOL.

Here is another "hint".....Check your local "thrift store" for 100% wool pull-over sweaters. You can usualy buy them for $3-$4 and they are great for "layering" under a jacket or you can wear 2 or 3 in very cold weather. I personaly like the solid "earth tone" colors myself.

I rarely go hunting or fishing even in "good" weather without a wool sweater stuffed in my pack "just in case".....
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...
