Still a few around eh Mickey.  Is this gonna be the year they dont migrate on ya last minute?

the Ferret

Randy some came by yesterday, some toms early and some hens late, but the groups were separated. It was good to see them since they hadn't come thru the yard since last Sunday. None today so far.

The pictures I'm posting are ones taken earlier.

You are blessed Mickey! Having all that game right outside your door is very cool. Nice pics and thanks for sharing...Terry

Hey Mickey. I was wondering when your season starts and you bag a bird or two, could you possibly save me some of the feathers for fly tying as we haven 't turkey up here in Nova-Scotia and I'll send you a few flys for them. Thanks Chuck.

the Ferret

Chuck my man, our season starts April 23, but what makes you think I'm going to kill a bird? LOL You know how I hut them right? No blind, no camo, primitive equipment.

What kind of feathers do you use wing, tail, breast? And are there any problems with mailing turkey parts across the border?

Steve I haven't left the house all weekend. I was hoping this below freezing stuff would be long gone by now.

Just be glad you're not a motorcyclist or you'd be going doubly crazy about now.    :banghead:    :banghead:    :banghead:

This it a great asset to me Ferret, I love haveing these pictures to reference while I'm working on feather paintings. My mind can't hold all the different postures an angles that a turkey can be in, and haveing these posted helps me visualize and get it right the first time. I want to thank you personaly. Great pictures.

I AM a motorcyclist.  I rode from the time I was 16 till I was 40.  I just don't have a bike right now.

Does THAT tell you how crazy I actually am right now?
Otto

the Ferret

Wow didn't know that Steve. I can see why you quit riding though as crazy as you drove that little CRX   :jumper:

Yep...I rode a little KZ 400 Kawasaki all thru college.  I put almost 40K miles on that littlel turd.  Then I rode a stripper Gold Wing after I graduated college and had a few more $$$ in my pocket.  I put about 45K miles on that one.  Then I rode a 750 Ninja, an 87 model till I reckon about 10 yrs ago.  I put 87K miles on that one.  I rode in all kinds of weather, almost year round.

Then I sold it to make the wife happy as she hated em and to this day thinks they are a death trap.  So I sold it to keep her happy.

As a consolation she lets me buy whatever I want.
