I finally have a new shooting partner. My grandson Payton! He turns 5 this Thursday, gramps thought it was finally time he got a bow in his hands.

Its finally warmed up just enough to get him out in the yard. And for us not to freeze to death. So much for global warming!
For a 5 year old he takes instructions extremely well. He actually listens! He as always been a little scary, as if he has seen you do it once. He seems to be able to do it for himself without any effort. The scary part, for some things thats really good others are the scary part!
He did really good today he hit the bag target 80% if the time. Of course it was only at 10 feet! Still he did really good!
He took instructions great, did as I asked and had a great time. He let me nock up his arrows for about the first 10. Then it was let me do it PAPA. OK theres no stopping him now.

:bigsmyl:  love watching kids shoot bows. They have so much fun with it.
There is always someone that knows more than you, and someone that knows less than you, so you can always learn and you can always teach

Great pics, Brent.  Sure do have a nice shootin' partner there.

I can hardly wait until this next weedend.  My 3 year old granddaughter is coming down for a few days.  She asked me on the phone the other day if she could shoot her "bowarra" when she got to Papa's house.

It just doesn't get much better.     :archer:

I'm with you Jeff, at 10 feet theres not much chance for string jumping! May be one case where the arrow gets there before the sound!
After it got dark last night every hour I heard, lets go out and go shooting papa. So I know right after pancakes, just where we will be!
