The scimitar shape actually helps with penetration. It allows a head to penetrate further than a standard head of the same size. The speeping shape of the blade reduces drag as it cuts. The Razorshark also has a pretty big main blade and the bleeders are quite large as well.

OH at work

Here's a pic of a 100 grain. They are small, and I found that removing the bleeder blade for sharpening to be  a real pain, requiring an eyeglass screw driver and a magnifying glass.  Too much work for me. I do not doubt that they work very well but I decided to stick to my Phantoms and Razorcaps.

The best things in life....aren't things!

I'm using the Tree Sharks on my turkey arrows.   They weigh 165gr. I like an even heavier head so I loaded the nose of the ferrule with #12 very fine lead shot and brought the weight up to 205gr.

On the business end of my tapered Sitka Spruce arrows they will be devastating.   :scared:     ....   :archer:

I just noticed something. The curve of the main blade starts where the bleaders begin making this one of the few (if not the only) head on the market that has one blade assisting the cutting action of other.

That hole in the deer sure is impressive!

Those look awsome Mr. LaClair!  Should be good turkey medicine.
