I haven't posted on the good ol' Trad Gang forum for a while now: but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading it!

I spent the last couple days making half dozen arrows for our good friend Little Fred. I just wanted to share them with everyone (and Luke can get a peek at them, too).

These are the straightest grained shafts out of two dozen 11/32 POC I had ordered a while ago. They've been tapered down to 5/16 on the nock end, and are very close in spine.

I had drawn on a little logo there, but my fletches unfortunately covered parts of it up on some arrows.

Thanks for looking!

Pretty cool. I like the roman numbers.

Wooo! Alright! They look awesome man. I think your bow just needs a finish and it's ready to rock. That's too bad, I was just in London last week. I took a stop by the Nook too, it's too bad we couldn't connect.

Those look sick dude. Can't wait to shoot them.

AWESOME!!! Those have to be sweetest looking arrows I have ever seen. Pretty much perfect color combinations in my opinion.
I have one question though, what kind of die/paint and in what color did you use for the crown dip? I only ask cause I have to make myself some arrows with those same colors.
Thanks, Jason

The talent and skill of the tradgang is unbelievable.  BEAUTIFUL arrows.  What color are they for those of us who are colorblind?

TaylorJohn

Yeah, I've always liked the way orange and blue went together.

Jason: For the crown dip, I did something that I've been doing for a while (I really like how quick and easy it is). Just squeeze some regulard craft acrylic paint into an old mug and water it down. Take your brush, and slop it all over the crown. Give it a couple seconds to set in, then give it a good wipe with a rag to get all the excess off.

DTS: They're blue crown, with orange nocks/cresting. Two blue hen feathers, one barred blue-ish cock feather.

I've always liked adding the roman numerals on there, that way if you find a particular arrow that keeps hitting the bullseye, you can figure out what made it so great (spine, weight etc) and try to make a whole new dozen just like it!

Thanks for the compliments, I learned it all from you guys!
