I want to share two photos.  I have been getting totaly hooked on traditional archery since I picked up a bow that I bought for my son 3.5 years ago.  Now we have six different bows.

I am now into cresting and this is my second dozen I have done.

I could not resist getting out my airbrush and going to town.  After some experimenting I did this.  The ends are dipped but I masked and sprayed the white band and spiral.  Then i did the blue fade and the rest are brushed.

In the process I learned that plasti-kote Odds 'n' Ends is pretty nice paint.  I also learned that Xylene thins Bohning laquer nicely, along with the previously named paint.

This next photo my wife took at the Rinehart 100 at Bear State Bowhunters.  The arrow is caught in flight.  If one zooms in it looks like the arrow is still bent from paradox.

If you get a chance to shoot a Rinehart 100 don't miss it.  It was a blast.

Doh!

I got the photos reversed.  Noobie error.

Thanks DesertDude.  I still need to learn string making and then....bows.

Be careful using Xylene friend. That is a big time carcinogen. Stay in a ventilated area while using it.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Cupcake

Jerry,

I did a little digging on the web and everything I found said studies show Xylene is NOT a carcinogen.  I do pay close attention to proper ventilation - I don't want to kill my remaining good brain cells.

Thanks for the concern.

SCATTERSHOT

Very nice work! Great action shot, too.
