Well I went and done it. I ordered one of their stock bows. Does anyone have experience with them? I have heard they are great bows. I would like to hear from some zipper owners. Thanks.

I really like the extreme recurves and one piece longbow, don't know anything about the takedown longbows.

Please let us know how you like it!!

Chad has one now. He'd be the fellow to ask.

The longbow limbs are performers just like the recurve...you'll find a great performing, quiet easy to point bow...all the limbs are interchangable so it really makes a nice package.  Going from standard to extreme also changes the weight...you can get quite a few bows out of two risers and a couple sets of limbs.

Great design, light, fast, etc...you see soon enough.

I love all of mine.

I've really struggled with this one. I LOVE my Zipper recurves. The Extreme is as stable and fast as anything out there. Here's the rub, it is also a very quiet recurve so why (other than I want em) should I get the longbow limbs? I have a feeling it is only a matter of time... :archer:

Hi my name is Norbert and I'm a limb-aholic.

I'll be perfectly honest about this one, there really isn't much reason to choose the lonbow limbs over the recurve. They shoot so close in speed that most people won't be able to tell the difference. I can't tell much difference in the feel between the two. It basicly comes down to whether you like a recurve or longbow the best. Or if your like Norb and just have to have atleast one of each!  :D

I just prefer the longbows, maybe it is just me, but I seem to shoot them better and they are more forgiving. Just preference I guess. I will post pics and let you know how it is when it gets here. Meanwhile here is what she will look like.

Congrats Donny. Danny did them guys with that funny jacket ever come to your house?  :biglaugh:  Is the riser smaller then the recurve risers?<><

Frank, The riser is exactly the same for the std and extreme models. The only change is the limb profile.

So you could have it fitted with both style limbs right?<><

Yep! The risers are the same as they have always been and the lonbow limbs were made to fit right onto the existing risers.

Verrrrry funnnnnny Danny. LOL. Glad you ask it Frank, they may have to see him too HUH?? Yes Bubba I had too. I could not stand it. I am weak. What can I say.

Chad, I like that feature. If I want a shorter bow for a pop up blind or box blind I may order some recurve limbs later.

Acaidian Woods does the same thing with their Tree Stick T/D. You can get recurve or longbow limbs for that riser also.

I like the Tree Sticks too, but I like this riser design better I think. I will let ya'll know how it fits my hand when I get it. The Acaidian Woods that I had was different on the arrow shelf and the design of the riser and even though it shot well, I could not get used to the arrow shelf. That is why I sold it.

Thanks so much for the offer to test my bow out Chad, but I think I will pass and just wait till it gets to me.  ;)    :bigsmyl:    :biglaugh:    :jumper:    :jumper:

Well to go get Danny they'd need a boat afterall. So maybe they figure you guys being twins and all, that it would be easier to pick-up Donny first and see if it is even curable before making the trip for Danny.

Very pretty bow there Donny. I may even buy that one from you 2 months from now. lol

David you are killing me. LOL My sides hurt from the laughing. Just the thought of a boat going for Danny.   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:    :jumper:    :jumper:

As for the bow, I hope this one is a keeper. After all a guy has to keep a few. LOL

I shot one of their takedown long bows at the WV Expo and loved it!!  I didn't know who made it at the time, but the guy shooting next to me said I should try it.  After the first arrow I actually stopped and looked at the bow totally suprised.  Completely dead in the hand....barely even knew I had shot an arrow.  I had to ask him who made it and he said Zipper.  I went over to their booth and it was all I could do not to buy one....Definitely in the near future....very near.

Oh yeah....I want a Cari-bow too!  They shoot/feel very similar.  In both cases very nice people I would be happy to do business with....Charlie
