A friend brought this bow over today and asked me about it. I could not tell him anything but I'm guessing there are those here who can help him out. He was wondering about age and worth. It is a

They are a part of Martin Archery now. If you go to their history forum you can find what you are looking for. Not really a collectors bow and they usually sell from 50-125 depending on draw weight and condition.

Great "entry level" bow. My son's first hunting bow was very much like the one in the picture. I have not yet shot a Howatt that I didn't like. From the pictures it looks like that bow has seen better days. I'd clean it up and keep it. That bow in hand is worth more than the $50 in the bank that it would bring frome some auction site.
Also it's the kind of bow that would make a great gift to someone who wants to get into or switch to traditional archery (even though at #45 that might not be a bow for a child or a beginner.)
