Several boys in our Boy Scout Troop have asked me to get them ready for an archery shoot sponsored by a rival council. I'm reaching out to those of you that might have a bow gathering dust in the 25 to 35 pound class you'd be willing to part with at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy just something the can learn with the hope they get hooked. I've been watching the classifieds and very few are ever posted in this weight range. One of the parents took my last excuse away by allowing me to set up a couple of targets in their avocado orchard. They are pretty excited and we're going to set up targets during Spring break. I already have some equipment but I'd like to a few more to make everyone gets something that fits them weight wise. Thanks in advance! Albert

I don't have a bow that light, but have you considered having them make their own board bows using one of the buildalongs here? There has to be a badge they could earn doing it.

Actually I have and one of the other Dads and I are looking into that. I also have enough components to have them start making some arrows too. They will all earn the Archery Merit Badge for which I'm a counselor for by the time we get to the shoot. I just want to get them shooting as soon as possible before they loose any interest. Thanks for the response.

Wish I could help you out. Perhaps someone could loan you a couple of bows until they could get some of their own up and running. Anyone?

One of the local Trad Gangers just hooked me up with a #25 Locksley. With some cleaning and a new string it should be a shooter. Thanks Troy!
